Chemical peels
Chemical peels involve applying a chemical solution that causes a layer of skin to peel off, revealing regenerated skin beneath that is typically smoother. They are used to treat sun-damaged skin and some types of acne. It can also address cosmetic complaints, such as age spots and lines under the eyes.
Cosmetic injections
Wrinkles, scarring, and reduced facial fullness can be temporarily addressed with injections. A dermatologist can inject Botox or fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid during an office visit. Results tend to last for a few months, and maintaining the effects requires regular injections.
Dermabrasion Facials
Dermabrasion facials can help reduce scar tissue, the appearance of fine wrinkles and tattoos, and potentially precancerous areas of skin. Using a high-speed rotating brush, a dermatologist removes the top layer of skin. Sometimes a chemical peel is applied after dermabrasion to help treat fine lines, acne, and sun damage.
Hair Removal or Restoration
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair. At PCD, we have lasers that are safe for all skin types.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment used to accelerate healing in various areas of the body. It may help restore hair growth. We typically use this treatment when hair loss results from androgenetic alopecia, a common condition that causes hair follicles to shrink.
Laser surgery
Dermatologists can also use laser surgery to treat a variety of skin issues or cosmetic complaints, including:
unwanted hair
warts
birthmarks
scars
stretch marks
wrinkles
vascular lesions
Micro-Needling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Micro-needling with PRP is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production by rolling fine needles over the skin while applying platelets, which are one of the components of blood.
PRP is plasma which contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself.
A blood sample is collected, and then centrifuged to separate PRP from the rest of blood.
We use micro-needling with PRP to treat:
acne scars
surgical scars
wrinkles and fine lines
hyperpigmentation
sun damage
large pores
uneven skin texture
Vein procedures
Superficial leg veins are small, dilated surface veins. People sometimes call them “spider veins” and may request their removal.
Sclerotherapy tends to be the spider vein treatment of choice. It involves injecting a special solution into the vein, which irritates the lining, causing the vein to shut, then become less distinct or disappear.
secretrf
SecretRF is a radio frequency(RF) fractional micro-needling system that rebuilds and revitalizes your skin. More specifically, using controlled RF energy, heat is delivered to specific layers of the skin to improve fine lines, wrinkles, and scars from the inside out, leaving the outer layer of skin intact.
Over the course of weeks, cumulative Secret RF treatments will boost collagen production creating smoother, lifted, clearer skin on the face and body. It can even be used in combination with PRP, Botox, and dermal fillers for an overall anti-aging effect!
